Medical aesthetics

Non-surgical treatments for skin, lines and volume — effective, and honestly temporary.

Medical aesthetics covers treatments that change the appearance of the skin and face without surgery: injectables that soften lines or restore volume, and resurfacing treatments that work on the texture, tone and pigment of the skin itself.

There is one thing worth knowing before anything else, because it changes whether travelling for these treatments makes sense at all: **none of these results are permanent.** Botulinum toxin lasts around three to four months. Hyaluronic acid filler lasts six to eighteen depending on the product and the site. Peels and laser usually need a course of sessions and then maintenance. Anyone describing any of them as a one-off, lasting solution is selling rather than advising.

That makes these treatments a natural addition to a trip you are already making, or a considered choice if you understand you will be maintaining the result at home. It makes flying internationally for a single injectable appointment a poor trade, and we would rather tell you that than take the booking.

The other thing worth knowing is that these are medical procedures. Injectables carry a rare but serious risk of blocking a blood vessel, which is time-critical and needs a medically qualified injector who keeps the reversal agent on site. Acid and laser treatments behave differently on different skin tones, and darker skin carries a real risk of pigment change. Both are addressed on the pages below rather than left out.

Whether any of this suits you is determined by a qualified clinician after assessing your skin and your medical history.
